The Economy Accountancy System
Other Services
Business startups. Planning to go into business? Do you need to be a limited company? What taxes will you have to pay? What regulations do you have to comply with? What records do you have to keep? These and many other questions I can answer and I can set up everything you need to commence in business. I can also assist with funding and negotiations with banks.
Business funding. In the current economic climate borrowing money to start up or expand a business is becoming extremely difficult. I am in contact with a number of lenders who are not subject to the same constraints as the High Street Banks. I can assist with negotiation and prepare the necessary business plan and cashflow forecast to support any loan application.
Software support. I have been using Sage since 1984 and QuickBooks since 1996. For those wishing to do their own accounting I can set up either of these software systems on site and advise on data entry , information retrieval and report generation.
Company Secretary. Many Limited Companies (like mine) are in fact a one-man-band with one director and shareholder. Companies formed before the provisions of the 2006 Companies Act came into force in 2008 were required to have a Company Secretary. I am prepared to act as Company Secretary for a small fee. The 2006 Act removed the requirement for a Company Secretary for private limited companies, but this must be reflected in the Articles of Association.
Company Audits. Limited Companies with a turnover in excess of £6.5 million are required to be audited by a qualified accountant. This is a very expensive process involving due diligence, so normally those with a turnover of less than £6.5 million may need only an accountancy review, and the accountant does not have to be qualified. This review can be carried out by one of my associates. We do not carry out audits.
